You’ve probably already noticed that there’s no ‘checklist for a sewing project‘ post this week as Fashion Sewing Blog has hit the sewing project pause button.
Now that’s not to say it won’t return – IT WILL, you have my assurances, but I wanted to tell you about the new concept I’ll be introducing first thing in the new year (Wednesday 4th January to be precise).
At present, the process in deciding which sewing pattern to use during a sewing project is as follows –
1 – Drag my husband to the local fabric store.
2 – Spend what he describes as a ‘lifetime‘ picking a sewing pattern that I think would suit a beginner fashion sewer.
3 – Spend husbands money buying the pattern, fabric and notions.
NB – No husbands were hurt in the filming of any sewing project!
On a serious note, if you visit my sewing projects page or just happen to stumble on one of my latest sew-along’s, then you will notice one overwhelming fact –
Every sewing pattern was chosen by ME!
‘Well It’s Time For A Change’
Starting WEDNESDAY 4TH JANUARY my sewing projects will return only this time with one really big difference –
The very next time you open up a Fashion Sewing Blog sewing project, you’ll find TWO sewing patterns instead of one. I want you to interact, I want you to engage, so, I’ll let YOU CHOOSE which one we will make.
I’m hoping by doing this, it will encourage more of you to take part and feel that Fashion Sewing Blog cares about your opinion. The truth is, I do care and that’s why I set this whole concept up in the first place.
Everything else – well that stays almost the same.
If you want to take part in any of my (or should that be your) sewing projects, you’ll still find checklist posts, easy to understand audio descriptions and slideshows demonstrating each key technique during the construction process.
Oh, and you can still upload photo’s of any of your sewing project creations to my Sewingista Gallery to inspire our growing fashion sewing community.
So what do you think? Interested?
I’ll see you then.
Oh, and by the way. There is still time this year to make up some of my previous sewing projects. Go take a look and don’t forget to take a photo!
Happy fashion sewing
