In this final part of the Burda 7342 Simple Skirt sewing project, we will complete the skirt, ready then to be worn and shown to the world.

1 – Understitching – Sew the yoke to the seam allowance to keep it in place and give a clean finish to the right side of the skirt.
Watch – Understitching, A How to Guide for an online video tutorial, brought to you by FashionSewingBlogTV.
2 – Basting – Baste along the zip / zipper, encasing the tape in between the yokes.
3 - Lower Skirt – This is how the lower skirt should look with the flaps in position ready for the yoke.
4 – Joining – Each section of the skirt is now complete, and now they are ready to come together.
5 – Pinning – With the lower skirt on the right side, place the right side of the yoke onto it matching notches and side seams.
6 – The Yokes – With the yoke open showing the interfaced section, pin onto the skirt matching the notches and machine sew into place. Press the seam allowance towards the lower skirt. At this stage I would fit the skirt to make sure that it hangs correctly.
7 – The Yoke – The other yoke now needs to be basted and all edges neatened, (overlocked).
The Burda 7342 simple skirt is now complete.
So there it is. The skirt – DONE!
I hope you like what you set out to achieve and you should congratulate yourself no matter what standard of skirt you produced. WELL DONE!!
I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful sewing projects on Sewingista Gallery very soon.
Happy fashion sewing
