Wrapping Up Another Sewing Year!
Time stands still for nobody and as this year draws to a close, it’s almost time to put the summer tops and skirts into hibernation. It’s time to think about an autumn /winter EASY sewing project collection.
Over the winter period (and in the UK that feels around 10 months of the year) I plan to create some wonderful winter jackets, coats and party dresses during my sew-a-longs, ideal for beginner and experienced fashion sewers alike.

As with the fashion industry, trends within the fashion sewing world are also seasonal and change with the passage of time. In fact, it would be fair to say, that the makers of modern sewing patterns develop their products in line with the yearly trends.
Simply look back at older patterns from the 60′s, 70′s, 80′s and 90′s and compare there design to the clothes you used to wear,
Do you see any similarities?
Trends for this year have already been translated into the commercial sewing patterns we may have bought.
This gives us ‘the normal women‘ a chance to wear pieces of high fashion, at lower costs, as we possess the skills to make these projects ourselves, but, and perhaps more importantly,
wear our sewing projects with confidence and pride as the clothes fit our body shape more so than high street brands.
So what sewing patterns and projects can we look forward too this year?

Let me start by first saying the choices below are not representative of the whole market and there are many MANY more choices out there for the fashion sewer. I have simply provided you with ideas of the type of sewing projects available this autumn / winter.
