Sew-Along – A Checklist for the Butterick B5756 Skirt

There are a great many fashion sewers out there who require your knowledge and help, and by readers completing projects such as this one, and sharing their stories of frustration and success, can only aid in their learning.
The Butterick B5756 skirt sewing pattern is a quick and easy sewing project that will produce a piece of clothing you can be truly proud of.
The Butterick B5756 Skirt – Design Specifications

The Butterick B5756 skirt sewing pattern has 4 design variations from which to choose from.
I have decided to make design A during our sew-along but you can still take part if you choose to make any of the other three.
The Butterick B5756 skirt sewing pattern is described as – A skirt that comes in two lengths with pleats, back zipper and side pockets.
A and B – Waistband and a hemline band (bias for B).
C and D – Self lined yokes with gathers at hip level, side pockets and narrow hem.
You can get this sewing pattern at most good fashion sewing stockists or online.
Make sure you order early to ensure it arrives on time.
The Buitterick B5756 Skirt – Fashion Fabrics

This particular sewing pattern is designed for more softer, lightweight woven fashion fabrics.
Butterick recommend the following -
Linen
Denim
Voile
Georgette
NB – The design variations for the Butterick B5756 skirt are unsuitable for obvious diagonals.

This particular skirt sewing pattern is an ideal starter project for all beginners out there!
Unlike some patterns, this one asks that the fashion sewer use but two simple notions.
They are -
One hook and eye
7 inch zipper
