So, as usual, before our sew-along starts next week, I’ve produced this post, detailing what every fashion sewer is going to need to complete this stylish dress in a quick and timely manner.
After all, the sun is coming!

The New Look 6094 Dress Sewing Pattern
During our sew-along, I shall demonstrate the making of design B, but you can still take part if you wish to make any of the other design variations as all are very similar.
Designs A / D – Both have a straight lower section with vent in the back seam. Design A has a raglan shaped capped sleeve, design D is sleeveless with raglan shaping.
Design E / B – Both have a full skirt with either raglan shaped capped sleeve or sleeveless raglan shaping.
Design C – A full skirt with raglan shaped capped sleeve. Has a design feature of top stitching to the sleeve and hemline.

2 meters of 2cm / 1/2 inch bias tape.

What kind of fabric did you use when making 6094 new look dress?
Hi Sheena,
The fabric used was a cotton / polyester blend (80% / 20%).
I purchased it from a fabric store I’ve always visited since my student years.
