Inspire and Innovate!

Hello fashion sewers and welcome to my brand new Fashion Sewing Blog article.

In today’s post, I’d like to do something just a little different, in keeping with my accessory post that I introduced to my readers last week.

If you missed it, i’d certainly recommend you have a read!

There aren’t many things you can get for free in life, but here at Fashion Sewing Blog I like to break with tradition.

ClickFREE PDF Clutch Bag Pattern and I’ll see you when you return.

So there I was thinking!

Part of running Fashion Sewing Blog, does involve a lot of research, both on and offline.

YouTube is a large part of my online activity.

To keep up to date, fresh and current, not to mention on occasion topical, I honestly watch hundreds of clips of other peoples material each and every month.

No easy task I can promise!

But!

I do, every now and again come across, (or more trip over), a video that inspires me or I feel would benefit my readers in respect of our continued fashion sewing learning.

And hence this post was created!

I’ve chosen three of my personal favourite video’s and feature them below for each of you to watch and comment on.

Not only are they an ‘easy watch‘, I have purposely chosen these tutorial video’s as they further our want to accessorise our fashion sewing creations.

Accessorising – Hats and Fascinators

I found this great little tutorial, presented by Corinne Leigh from Craftovision, which demonstrates the ease in which anybody can, (with a few simple items and tools), create and wear a stylish fascinator.

Why not try it yourself as it would certainly bring to life your fashion sewing projects and look tailor made for our Lily clutch!

Accessorising – Jewellery

In this next video, although we will need to acquire the tools and equipment to complete the project, I just wanted to let you see that when you do put your creative mind in focus, (and as fashion sewers we do possess one), then we really can create some truly wonderful and unique items.

Accessorising – Shoes

The third and final video I’d like to show you, filmed by Customise Fashion, involves decorating and embellishing those tired old shoes that have been stuck in a closet or under a bed, gathering dust.

With just a few simple steps, it really is easy to breathe new life into those shoes and give them back there sparkle.

And there you have it. Three little gems I picked up during my ‘research travels‘ which I wanted to share with you!

I don’t know whether you will actually want to make what the video’s teach, but my point, more than anything else, is to show what we, as true creative spirits can innovate and create if we simply put our minds to it.

Happy fashion sewing
