Fashion Clothing for the Apple Shaped Body

Plucked straight from the orchard, the sweet and shapely apple!

Would you describe yourself as apple shaped?  Not sure! Then I hope this post can help.

The apple shaped body refers to women who have a more rounded, fuller figure.  The tummy area is a little more pronounced which hides the natural waistline.  As such the upper half of the body is fuller and more rounded in comparison the lower part.

So what are the signs to suggest that you are apple shaped -

1 – You have no waist definition

2 – Top heavy and smaller below the waist

3 – Bust and mid-riff might appear bigger than your hips

4 – Your silhouette is rounded

5 – You tend to have slimmer legs and thighs

I know many women at this juncture will look in the mirror and feel saddened rather than celebratory in the fact they posses an apple shaped figure.  No matter what shape we are (my own is described as triangular) we need to stand proud and dress our form correctly to make the best of our unique features.

Take a look below at some famous faces, described as ‘apple shaped.’

Queen Latifa (above left) and Rosie O’Donnell (above right).

OK!  So you’ve identified yourself as apple shaped but have no real idea of how to correctly dress your beautiful figure.  The video below should help.

So tell me, how does being an apple shape impact on your fashion sewing projects?
