Since October 2010, Fashion Sewing Blog has been teaching people how to fashion sew and create professional looking garments. With no fuss, no pomp and no circumstance, just plain good old fashioned valuable sewing guides, articles and video tutorials which anybody can freely use.
These days, it’s easy for budding fashion sewers to get lost in the hundreds of sewing websites purporting to help and inspire. Fashion Sewing Blog founder, Colleen G Lea wanted to build something a little different.
Since its inception, Fashion Sewing Blogs one and only true aim, was to teach anybody wanting to learn an art form that Colleen herself had dedicated her life too, and to do it in a no holds barred, easy to understand, and FREE way.
Fashion Sewing Blog wanted to open the doors of the fashion sewing world and invite everybody to the party.
Today, Fashion Sewing Blog still holds true to its mission statement and continues to publish, week in, week out, totally free articles, guides and video tutorials for everybody to use to better their own learning.

Fashion Sewing Blog was founded in October 2010 by Colleen G Lea. Colleen is the owner of Fashion Sewing Blog, co-owner of DC Media Productions, a serial entrepreneur and former fashion lecturer, teacher and designer.
Colleen has spent half a lifetime learning the art of fashion sewing and used these skills to graduate from University with honours in the field of fashion design and textiles, and went on to teach as a senior lecturer in both further and higher education. Colleen then formed Fashion Sewing Blog, to help, inspire and motivate other fashion sewers who wish to share in her wealth of knowledge.
Over the years, and to this very day, Fashion Sewing Blogs readership continues to grow worldwide. Colleen herself has also featured in the likes of:
